Discover Eleuthera
Eleuthera is one of the stunning out-islands of The Bahamas, celebrated for its unspoiled beaches, pristine waters, and a tranquil atmosphere reminiscent of simpler times. The people of Eleuthera are proud, kind-hearted, and deeply rooted in family and community values.
This slender island stretches approximately 110 miles from north to south, yet in some places, it’s just 2.5 miles wide. Home to about 13,000 permanent residents, Eleuthera also welcomes thousands of visitors each year who come to experience its unique charm.
Mission to Enhance Life on Eleuthera
While life on this beautiful island is idyllic in many ways, it comes with its challenges for residents, expatriates, and visitors alike. Access to essential services—such as healthcare, and emergency support—can be limited due to its remote location and lacking of government support.
This is where Friends of Central Eleuthera Emergency Services (FOCEES) steps in. Our mission is to make Eleuthera safer, healthier, and a better place to live, visit, and invest in.
